In two days many people will be enjoying a Thanksgiving meal with their friends and family. Many will also be planning their crazy Black Friday shopping adventures. Even if you don’t participate in Black Friday, most people know what it and it’s online counterpart Cyber Monday is. They are two shopping days that are ingrained in American culture.
I would like help make ANOTHER day synonymous with the holidays. A day not just about giving and gifting but rather giving back. We can do more than just shop with our wallets! It’s in just one week, on next Tuesday.
It’s called GivingTuesday.
Give Back This Holiday Season on #GivingTuesday
What is #GivingTuesday?
On Tuesday November 27, 2012, giving will have its ‘opening day’. Retailers, charities, online organizations, community centers, individuals, families and more will come together to create #GivingTuesday. It’s a national moment amount the holidays dedicated to giving, similar to how Black Friday and Cyber Monday have become days that are, today, synonymous with holiday shopping.
So while you are prepping for the sales, set aside sometime to brainstorm ideas with your friends and family . A very appropriate topic for Thanksgiving in my opinion. Check out the Giving Tuesday website for some great ideas.
How will you participate on GivingTuesday?
